Medical insurance

The best option to protect your family, since March 23, 2010 there is the Law for the Protection of Patients and Affordable Care (The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act) known as Obamacare. It is a health reform that extends and improves access to health care and reduces expenses through regulations and taxes.

Medical Insurance is obtained through a contract with a Health Insurance company which stipulates the conditions, responsibilities and rights of both the insured and the insurer and for which a monthly cost is paid for the plan or policy. Medical insurance can be obtained through the employer or individually.

Most States offer Medical Insurance for people who can not afford it. These Insurance that the State offers are Medicare, Medicaid and Children's Insurance Program known as CHIP (Children Insurance Program).

There are different types of medical insurance and medical plans. As of January 2014, all people living in the United States, with some exceptions, must have some type of medical coverage.

To help people and facilitate the search for insurers that provide the appropriate plan for the family or individuals according to annual income, the government has created what is known as the Health Market, a site in which different insurance companies are included. and that detail the plans they offer.

One of the most essential priorities of ours is to know that we have an obligation to protect ourselves and our loved ones with Health Insurance, whether we obtain it through our employer or privately, or through the State program, Medicare or Medicaid. According to the Obamacare law, if we are not insured and qualify to obtain it, we will be penalized with a certain percentage of our annual income. We recommend that we inform ourselves and comply with this responsibility.

There are a variety of plans or products on the Market that the Insurance Companies offer for certain cases or events that may happen in life. Some of these products or plans are not Medical Insurance, so it is important that we inform ourselves about it. Within these plans we can mention the following:

Catastrophic Illness Policies, Accident Policies, Complementary Policies, Hospitalization Compensation Policies, Complementary Coverage of Prescription Drugs, Discount Plans, Etc.

The Madrinas de los Seguros represent insurance companies such as Molina Healthcare, Ambetter and others. We are pleased to help our community to obtain the benefits of the Health Law and advise them to find and subscribe to the plan that best suits them.

We hope you can contact us for any questions you may have and we will gladly assist you.
